The RO-P4800 is the optional remote wireless handset for the RO4800 fixed VHF/ASN/AIS. It allows you to communicate and move around inside the boat while benefiting from the 25 Watt transmission power of the RO4800 and its fixed antenna.

The RO-P4800 remote wireless handset allows you to control remotely and thus stay in permanent contact with the VHF network up to 200 meters.

The RO-P4800 remote wireless handset has an INTERCOM function which allows you to benefit from direct and private communication with the RO4800 fixed VHF. We can connect 2 handsets to the RO4800.

Protected against interference, the ROP4800 remote wireless handset allows communication up to 200m from the boat, while benefiting from complete confidentiality. A long press on the “Cancel/IC” button on either device causes “Intercom Ent => Accept” to appear on the screen. Press the “CH/ENTER or ENT/WATCH” key and intercommunication can begin.

Benefiting from the 25W of the fixed VHF RO4800, a real remote control, this remote wireless handset ROP4800 (IPX7) integrates all the functions of the VHF, such as changing channels, HI/Low reception, scanning, double or triple watch, ASN (except AIS), access to the menu.

The large screen and backlit buttons of the ROP4800 remote cordless handset make it easy to use in difficult light and navigation conditions. Not counting its direct access to channel 16, the screen displays the boat’s GPS position (longitude and latitude; connection of fixed VHF to a GPS essential).
